IEEE MetroSea 2021 Final Program is Now Available!
The IEEE MetroSea Online Platform will go live on WeConf platform on Monday, October 4. Registered attendees received an email with instructions on accessing the platform.
Authors are requested to participate to the Sessions scheduled in the Technical Program, which are meant to be an opportunity for live discussion. Authors will do the presentation from their own computer (or other suitable device), while sharing their screen and talking, then discussing with the participants. Authors will have 15 minutes to give a presentation of their contribution followed by up to 5 minutes for questions and answers.
The Sea is the medium that allowed people to travel from one continent to another using vessels and even today despite the use of aircraft. It has been acting also as a great reservoir and source of foods for all living beings. However, for many generations it served as a landfill for depositing conventional and nuclear wastes, especially in its deep seabeds and there is a race to exploit minerals and resources, different from foods, encompassed in it. Its health is a very challenge for the survival of all humanity since it is one the most important environmental components targeted by the global warming: Tsunami and El Niño are consequences and indicators of bad development. As everyone may know, measuring is a step that allows major knowledge of a phenomenon or an asset. That is why MetroSea will serve as a forum for presenting recent advances in the field of measurement and instrumentation to be applied for the increasing of our knowledge for protecting and preserving the Sea.
MetroSea aims to gather people who work in developing instrumentation and measurement methods for the sea. Attention is paid, but not limited to, new technology for sea environment monitoring, metrology-assisted production in sea industry, ship component measurement, sensors and associated signal conditioning for the sea, and calibration methods for electronic test and measurement for marine applications.
Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

METROLOGY FOR THE SEA
OCTOBER 4 - 6, 2021 - VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
Important Update: IEEE MetroSea & COVID
The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. Please know that our thoughts are with those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
In response to conditions caused by COVID-19, IEEE MetroSea 2021, scheduled to be held in Reggio Calabria, Italy on October 4-6, 2021 will now be held virtually. This offers a wider range of participation for authors, speakers, and exhibitors to present their research and products around the world.
The online platform will be a virtual environment where the attendees can present the paper and can participate in all sessions and activities.
Registration and exhibitor fees have been reduced. Take advantage of the reduced rates while they are available!
Special Session Proposal Deadline
Special sessions have the main aim of creating a mini-workshop on a specific topic, where researchers working on the same argument can make knowledge, familiarize, exchange ideas, create cooperation.
