Best Conference Paper Award
The Giuseppe Bottiglieri Shipping Company S.p.A. dedicates the Best Paper Award to the memory of Prof. Felice Cennamo.
The award consists of a model of one of Giuseppe Bottiglieri Shipping Company S.p.A. naval vessels type Post-Panama bulkcarrier (cargo ships of 94000 tons capacity that may to transit through the new Panama Canal).
The Best Paper Award will be selected on the basis of the review process and on the paper presentation during the congress. The final assessment and selection criteria will be based on several key parameters, including: technical quality of the paper, authors' knowledge of the field, presentation effectivesess and clarity, engagement in substantive question & answer, etc.
Please note that the paper must be presented by one of its Authors.
"Sensors" Best Student Paper Award
The IEEE Sensors Council Italy Chapter recognizes distinguished papers authored by student submitted to the 2018 International Workshop on Metrology for the Sea to be held in Bari-Italy, October, 8-10 2018 through a presentation of an Award for the "Best Student Paper" for papers accepted to the conference.
The Award consists in a Certificate and one prize of 100,00 EUR.
The award recipient will be selected by a Committee formed by one of the Chapter officers, three chairs of the technical committee of the chapter, and two organizers of the conference selected by the chapter chair.

Description: An exclusive plaque will be given for the best poster presented.
Basis for Judging: Technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the poster presentation.
Best Demo
Description: To highlight the importance of the Demo Session, an exclusive plaque will be given for the best demo.
