Awards

IEEE MetroSea 2022 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Conference Closing Ceremony.

This award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at IEEE MetroSea Workshop.
The Best Conference Paper Award is sponsored by MDPI Sensors Journal.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 600 CHF;
• A waiver on the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the extended version of the Best Paper on MDPI Sensors;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the IEEE MetroSea Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroSea Closing Ceremony.

This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 500 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

The Best Paper Presented by a Woman is promoted by IEEE Woman in Engineering - Italy Section Affinity Group and sponsored by MDPI Remote Sensing.

• A prize money amounting to 500 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroSea Closing Ceremony.

This award recognizes the best poster on Marine Environmental Protection.
The Best Poster on Marine Environmental Protection is promoted by MuMa - Museo del Mare - Milazzo (Sea Museum - Milazzo).

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
